Summary
- Tiny's Burger offers a casual, customizable experience unlike Father's Office.
- Chef Sang Yoon uses high-quality dry-aged chuck for both burger concepts.
- The restaurant features an array of international snacks and unique hot dogs.

Sang Yoon, the acclaimed chef behind Father's Office, has opened Tiny's Burger in Orange County's South Coast Plaza, presenting a stark contrast to his famously rigid restaurant. Father's Office, established 26 years ago, became a sensation for its pioneering gastropub style and unyielding burger policy, famously forbidding modifications like ketchup. This strictness allowed patrons only one way to order the signature Office burger.
Tiny's Burger, however, embraces a cheerful, accommodating atmosphere, drawing inspiration from beloved Southern California immigrant-run burger stands like Tommy's and Irv's. Shoppers can now customize their meals in a more relaxed setting.
The new establishment uses the same high-quality, 30-day dry-aged chuck beef as Father's Office, but presents it in a smaller, four-ounce patty, nestled in a soft potato roll. Accompaniments include American cheese, pickles, grilled onions, and a tangy sauce featuring gochujang and ssamjang, offering a distinctly different flavor profile.
Beyond burgers, Tiny's menu includes salt-and-vinegar tots, which are noted as being more intensely seasoned than those at Father's Office, and an elaborate Japanese-style hot dog adorned with Kewpie mayo, soy sauce, furikake, and bonito shavings. The adjacent convenience store area offers a variety of imported snacks and candies, adding to the eclectic appeal.
