Devotees Endure 7-Hour Waits for Hasanamba Temple Darshan

On Friday, October 13th, 2025, Hasanamba Temple in Hassan, India witnessed a massive influx of devotees, with as many as 3.7 lakh people visiting the temple to have darshan of the presiding deity. Despite the huge crowds and long queues, the devotees thronged the temple, some waiting for as long as 7 hours to catch a glimpse of the goddess.

According to district minister Krishna Byre Gowda, who is monitoring the situation, the waiting time for darshan is likely to increase further as large crowds continue to arrive at the temple. Additionally, there was no darshan between 2 pm and 3:30 pm on Saturday, and from 12 midnight to 6 am on Sunday, due to special rituals scheduled as per tradition. The minister also stated that there will be no darshan from Sunday midnight to Monday 6 am, which may further increase the waiting time for devotees.

Devotees with Rs 300 tickets are getting darshan after a 4-6 hour wait, while those with Rs 1,000 tickets are getting darshan within two hours. Devotees have been advised to come prepared, as rain is expected to lash the district as per the forecast.
