Parking Lot Birth: Dad Delivers Baby in Texas Lot

On Sunday, October 11th, a Texas couple, Emma Contreras and Diego, welcomed their third child, Beni, in an unexpected delivery that took place in a hospital parking lot. The rapid onset of labor meant baby Beni was not waiting for arrival inside the hospital doors.

While in the car, Emma realized there was no time for conventional hospital delivery. Diego recounted the intense moments, describing how he instinctively caught his son as he was born in the parking lot. Emma Contreras shared her pride and "total euphoria and amazement" at her husband's decisive actions during the birth.

Emma had previously discussed with a doula her desire for Diego to be more involved in this birth. She humorously reflected on the situation, noting, "Be careful what you wish for."
