In the lead-up to Christmas, Tesco shoppers are being encouraged to donate new and unwrapped toys to help brighten the holiday for children who might otherwise receive nothing. The toy donation drive is currently underway at major Tesco stores across the UK, with the collected items set to be distributed by local community organizations.

Each Tesco store has partnered with a specific charity or group to ensure the toys reach the intended recipients. For example, shoppers contributing at the Leicester Extra store will see their donations delivered to Christ the King Church, which aims to support local families in need this Christmas. Meanwhile, customers at the Newcastle Extra store will witness their toys handed over to Pathways 4 All, a regional charity that provides recreational activities for youngsters with special needs.

Tesco's Head of Communities, Claire De Silva, has expressed the retailer's commitment to supporting local children and their communities year-round. The annual toy donation campaign is seen as a wonderful way to make a difference during the holiday season, with the company aiming to surpass last year's impressive total of 125,000 toys donated by generous customers and colleagues.
