Kamath initially approached local businesses and corporations, offering his baked goods in exchange for donations. In April 2025, he formally launched Cookie for a Cause, establishing a website for orders and often baking from his home kitchen. By December 2025, the nonprofit had already raised $20,000, exceeding his initial expectations.
As of September 12, 2026, Kamath has accumulated a total of $66,331 and aims to reach $100,000 by the end of 2026. His efforts have expanded to include support for children in the United States, notably through a partnership with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where he is part of the St. Jude Leadership Society.
Looking ahead, Kamath plans to continue Cookie for a Cause even after graduating from high school. He is building a student team to ensure the nonprofit's sustainability and growth, intending to study business in college and further develop the organization.
