Teddi Mellencamp Unveils Real Hair After Cancer Treatment

Teddi Mellencamp has shared an update on her recovery journey after undergoing significant cancer treatment. In a candid Instagram post on August 26, 2026, Mellencamp revealed her natural hair, displaying the results of one year of regrowth after losing her locks during radiation therapy.

Her health struggles began in 2022 with a stage 2 melanoma diagnosis. Following 17 surgeries, the cancer spread to her brain and lungs in March 2025, leading to brain surgery and radiation. Though doctors reported no detectable cancer in October 2025, she continues immunotherapy, her least favorite part of the nine months of remaining treatment.

Mellencamp is also focusing on regaining abilities lost during her treatment. She recently shared a video demonstrating her progress in relearning to walk in heels, describing it as 'baby steps' in her recovery.
