Motorcycle Toy Run Brightens Christmas for Kids

Stoke-on-Trent recently witnessed its 47th annual toy run, a significant charity event where hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts gathered to collect gifts for underprivileged children. The Star Bikers parade embarked from the Bet365 Stadium, traversing the city to conclude at the King's Hall, spreading holiday cheer.

This event, estimated to attract over 1,500 bikers annually, is a highlight alongside the group's Easter egg run. Its origins trace back to December 17, 1977, likely as a joint effort between local biker groups, and is recognized as potentially the first of its kind in the UK.

Donations of toys and cash collected during the run are distributed to local children and various children's or bike-related charities. The event continues its legacy of providing holiday joy and support to those in need within the community.
