Kelsey Parker recently shared her harrowing experience following the stillbirth of her son, Phoenix, during a planned home delivery in June 2025. She detailed how paramedics took Phoenix from her, allowing her only nine minutes with her deceased baby.
Parker described the subsequent treatment by emergency services as "horrendous" and "shocking." Police investigators arrived shortly after, designating her home as a "crime scene," which caused additional distress to Parker and her family.
In response to her public account, the Met Police acknowledged their inappropriate handling of the situation, admitting the address should not have been called a crime scene and that the family deserved more sensitive treatment. They have offered to meet with Parker.
The London Ambulance service also issued an apology for the additional stress caused, stating that their paramedics had not encountered a deceased infant before, a response that deeply affected Parker. They have since met with her family to discuss the incident.
Despite these immense losses, including her husband Tom Parker's passing in March 2022, Parker announced in May 2026 that she and her partner Will Lindsay are expecting a "rainbow baby," expressing feelings of hope and resilience.
