A significant gathering of over 100 people and their dogs, predominantly Staffordshire bull terriers, took place recently to celebrate the culmination of a 10-week initiative. The event, held at Weston Park, marked the end of the "Staffy Trail," which featured 11 giant staffy sculptures across the county.
The Staffy Trail successfully encouraged exploration of Staffordshire and is estimated to have generated tens of thousands of pounds for the local tourism sector. The trail's mascot, 'Staffy,' has become a key ambassador for the county, promoting its attractions and special features.
Volunteers from the Senior Staffy Club Dog Rescue also attended, raising awareness for their work with older Staffordshire bull terriers. The rescue organization plans to open new kennels in Stafford next year, further supporting the breed.
