Tamil Nadu is poised to become home to South India's inaugural hot air balloon adventure park. The Tamil Nadu Balloon Adventures (TNIBF) has initiated trial balloon safaris in Pollachi, with further trials planned for Madurai and Tiruvannamalai. The success of these trials, running from January 4 to March 29, will determine the location for a permanent operations hub and aviation park.
Benedict Savio, founder of the Tamil Nadu International Balloon Festival, highlighted the trial's importance in assessing operational feasibility and safety standards. This venture aligns with the state tourism vision to diversify offerings and enhance visitor experiences, aiming to establish hot air ballooning as a sustainable adventure product.
