Son's Wedding Wish Granted by Hospice Care

A mother's heartfelt wish came true when her eight-year-old son, Oliver, was able to attend her wedding. Oliver, who requires constant care due to a hypoxic brain injury sustained as an infant, was brought to the ceremony by his dedicated carers from Derian House children's hospice.

His mother, Samantha Dolan, shared her joy, emphasizing how the hospice's support allowed her to fully experience her wedding day as a mother. The hospice staff went above and beyond, planning Oliver's respite care a year in advance and arranging extra staffing to ensure his attendance and comfort.

Derian House's chief nurse affirmed their commitment to helping families create cherished memories. Oliver, dressed in a matching knitted jumper and black jeans with his younger brother, was a happy and visible guest, bringing smiles to everyone present.
