Sofia Franklyn Reveals Abortion Journey

Sofia Franklyn, host of the "Sofia With an F" podcast, has disclosed that she underwent a medical abortion in 2023. She shared this deeply personal experience in an essay for Vanity Fair, acknowledging the difficulty and lingering feelings of shame associated with the event.

Franklyn, then 30, learned of her pregnancy after a work trip to California. Faced with an imminent departure for Europe, she proceeded with the abortion the following morning, just days before her international vacation. She noted the lack of preparation for the physiological and hormonal aftermath.

In her forthcoming memoir, "Daddy Issues: A Memoir," excerpted by Vanity Fair, Franklyn discusses how her boyfriend at the time supported her. She aims for her public sharing to free herself from self-imposed exile and shame, offering support to those navigating similar experiences.

The memoir, "Daddy Issues: A Memoir," is scheduled for release on Tuesday, November 10.
