Actress Shirley MacLaine has reduced the asking price for her sprawling 7500-acre New Mexico ranch, known as Plaza Blanca, to $12 million. MacLaine has owned this remote, off-grid hacienda-style home since 1990.
The property, initially listed in November 2025 for $17.4 million, saw subsequent price drops to $15.5 million in March 2026. The estate offers seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, emphasizing eco-friendly living with solar and wind power systems and its own well for fresh water.
Plaza Blanca is celebrated for its distinctive white sandstone formations, a landscape that famously captivated artist Georgia O'Keeffe. The ranch encompasses vast piñon and juniper forests, offering breathtaking views of the Chama River Valley, red rock mesas, and vibrant sunsets.
During the Covid-19 lockdown, MacLaine expressed her deep connection to the ranch, describing it as a place of natural beauty and spiritual inspiration. She found solace and a sense of survival and meaning in its isolated, serene environment.
