Shimla Gears Up for Festive Rush: Safety First!

Shimla's district administration is implementing a comprehensive plan to ensure law and order, traffic regulation, and public safety for the upcoming Winter Carnival Shimla - 2025, Christmas, and New Year celebrations. These special arrangements will be active from December 24, 2025, through January 2, 2026, prioritizing the safety and convenience of both tourists and residents.

To manage the anticipated surge in visitors, the city has been meticulously divided into five distinct sectors. Each sector will be overseen by a designated district administration officer, with overall command falling to the additional district magistrate (law and order). Specialized teams comprising administrative officials and police personnel will be deployed within each sector to maintain order and address concerns efficiently.

The superintendent of police has ensured adequate police presence in critical and high-traffic zones. Furthermore, ambulances will be stationed at Shimla's major entry points to provide immediate medical assistance if required. The administration appeals for public cooperation, urging adherence to traffic regulations, speed limits, and a strict prohibition of driving under the influence of alcohol.
