Gymnast's Son's Wild Dirt Bike Debut

Shawn Johnson East recounted the dramatic first dirt bike track outing for her 4-year-old son, Jett. The experience, which occurred recently, was fraught with near-disasters. Initial attempts involved Jett accidentally being sent onto the track with adult bikes, followed by him falling and getting pinned by his own bike. Subsequent attempts saw Jett ride the wrong way on a live track, leading to further falls for both Jett and his father, Andrew, who was following him.

Despite the chaos, Jett declared his passion for dirt biking, stating he wanted to do it "forever and ever." Johnson East explained that Jett had shown early proficiency, mastering a bike without training wheels at age one and excelling on electric bikes. His continued interest led to renting BMX tracks for his birthdays. Johnson East defended the timing, referencing her own family's racing history and her belief in gauging a child's readiness for new athletic challenges.
