In 2015, she made her Swiss chalet, purchased with Andrew for £13 million in 2014, her primary residence. The Swiss property, reportedly sold for £22 million in 2022, was a "family investment." Sarah had also explored becoming a permanent resident in Switzerland, expressing a deep connection to the country.
Before Royal Lodge, the couple resided at Sunninghill Park, a property gifted by Queen Elizabeth II. After their split, they continued to live together at Royal Lodge until Andrew moved out in 2004. Sarah remained until 2006 before moving to Royal Lodge in 2008.
