Royal Family Trades Privacy for Palatial New Windsor Estate

In a move aimed at securing more privacy for their growing family, the Prince and Princess of Wales have relocated to a new home in Windsor Great Park. The royal couple quietly made the switch to Forest Lodge, an expansive Georgian mansion, in early November.

The eight-bedroom, six-bathroom property is more than double the size of the family's previous residence, Adelaide Cottage. This has given Princess Catherine, a known interior design enthusiast, ample room to showcase her "contemporary classic" aesthetic. Recent footage of Prince William filming a message for Armistice Day offered a glimpse of the Princess's work, with the grand setting featuring ornate paintings, gilded doors, and deep crimson curtains.

According to reports, Catherine has "thoroughly enjoyed" overseeing the interiors of the new home, sourcing much of the decor from a family-run British textile company that has supplied furnishings to the royal family in the past. The move marks a fresh chapter for the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children, as they seek to leave behind "difficult memories" and enjoy more privacy in their expansive new abode.
