This year's Royal Ascot, commencing on Tuesday, will offer enhanced comfort for attendees with substantial improvements in shelter and seating capacity. The event has seen the installation of an additional 1,580 square meters of shade and rain cover. Furthermore, 1,789 extra seats have been introduced, representing an increase of nearly one-fifth compared to the previous year.
A distinctive circular structure, recognized from the Tomorrowland music festival in Belgium, has been erected within the Village enclosure. According to spokesperson Will Aitkenhead, the expanded seating is a direct response to attendee feedback from the prior year, when numerous individuals required medical attention due to heat-related illnesses amid temperatures reaching 29.7C (85F).
Organizers are expecting cooler conditions for this week's races. As a continued measure, free water will be available, with 25 hydration stations strategically placed throughout the venue to ensure attendee well-being.
