Queen Máxima and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands recently marked their 24th wedding anniversary on February 2nd. To commemorate the occasion, the royal couple undertook a joint public engagement.
Their outing led them to the Wijkpaleis community centre in Rotterdam. Here, they were updated on the progress of various social initiatives. These initiatives are supported by the Oranje Fonds, a foundation established in 2002.
The Oranje Fonds was created as a national gift from the people of the Netherlands to celebrate the royal nuptials. This philanthropic project holds special significance for the couple.
Queen Máxima, aged 54, chose to honor the anniversary not only with the public appearance but also through her choice of jewelry. She elegantly re-wore the diamond drop earrings she had on her wedding day in 2002. These celebrated earrings were paired with the striking Dutch Star Tiara and her renowned Valentino gown.
