Radio host Robin Bailey has revealed a deeply personal confession about having an affair before her first husband's tragic suicide. She described the affair, which happened during a period of separation while they were still living together, as having "dire consequences" for her family.
Bailey, 57, was widowed in 2014 when her husband of 15 years, Tony Smart, died by suicide following a battle with depression. She stated she is not making excuses but explaining her actions during a complicated and emotionally charged time.
Ahead of her memoir's release, "Flamingoes Aren't Born Pink," Bailey felt compelled to share her story to process the events and take responsibility. She acknowledged that her choice had a significant impact on the most important people in her life, recognizing that some might judge her harshly.
This is not the first time Bailey has faced profound loss. In 2018, she married radio executive Sean Pickwell, whom she called her soulmate. Tragically, he died just 11 months later at the age of 56 after a battle with cancer.
