A rescued border collie cross named Bella is marking her first Mother's Day with newfound joy after a successful rescue and rehoming journey. She was taken in by Dogs Trust Shoreham due to a change in her previous owner's circumstances.
Towards the end of 2025, staff discovered Bella was expecting puppies. On New Year's Day, she gave birth to a healthy litter of seven, whom she devotedly cared for.
The puppies, named Ano, Asher, Bubbles, Fizz, Novo, Pop, and Sylvester, received New Year's themed names to honor their birthdate. Bella was a dedicated mother throughout this period.
Following their successful upbringing, the puppies were matched with new families. Bella also found her own happy ending, being adopted into a forever home on February 18. She is now settling in well, completing a wonderful story for the rescued dog this Mother's Day.
