Sobering Success: Recovery Fest Blooms

Recoverfest, a festival dedicated to celebrating recovery, wellbeing, and community, is set to take place at Uttoxeter Racecourse. Cara Cox, who found freedom from substance abuse, co-created the event just two years after achieving sobriety. An estimated 3,000 people are anticipated to attend this fourth iteration of the festival.

Cox emphasized that the festival is community-driven, particularly by those with lived experience in recovery. She noted that confronting uncomfortable situations is key to personal growth and a better life. The event will be headlined by Lucy Spraggan, a former X-factor contestant with her own experiences with sobriety. Additionally, the festival will feature various speakers addressing addiction recovery.
