Rajasthan Gears Up for Diwali: Cleanliness & Lights!

Ahead of Diwali, Rajasthan is set to implement intensified cleanliness drives and enhance the beauty of public spaces. Chief Secretary V Srinivas has directed officials to ensure these preparatory works are completed within the stipulated timelines.

Markets are expected to be decorated and illuminated, with trade associations encouraged to participate. Outstanding contributions in these efforts will be recognized and rewarded. Furthermore, officials will conduct regular inspections of Annapurna kitchens as part of the preparations. The progress of a 100-day action plan for urban local bodies, which encompasses cleanliness, public space maintenance, and facility improvements, will be closely monitored. This oversight will involve dated, geo-tagged before-and-after photographs and online reporting mechanisms to ensure accountability.
