Quincy residents are eagerly anticipating the grand opening of the new Quincy Aquatic Center, scheduled for June 26. The facility promises a host of new attractions beyond its predecessor's surface area, including a climbing wall, a diving board, and a rope swing. A dedicated children's area features multiple waterslides and interactive water elements, catering to younger visitors.

Complementing the aquatic features, the $15.7 million center incorporates a refreshment stand accessible from East Park, alongside updated changing rooms. This extensive upgrade replaces the old pool, which had developed significant leaks. The project, which began last fall after extensive planning, aims to provide a resort-like atmosphere for summer enjoyment.
