Musician Risks Van to Save Man from Suicide Attempt

On a recent day last week, musician Matt Johnson was driving in Flintshire, North Wales when he witnessed a harrowing scene. As he waited at a traffic light, Johnson spotted a man desperately hanging from a footbridge over a busy road, seemingly intent on taking his own life. Without hesitation, Johnson sprang into action, quickly parking his VW Transporter van directly underneath the bridge.
Within 20 seconds, the man dropped onto the top of Johnson's van, narrowly avoiding a potentially fatal fall. Emergency services arrived a few minutes later and climbed onto the van to help the vulnerable man to safety. Despite the damage to his vehicle, Johnson has no regrets about his actions, stating, "I do not regret it. I would do it again."
