Princess Anne Stuns with Elegant Updo for 75th Birthday Portrait

In a royal portrait released last month, Princess Anne celebrated her upcoming 75th birthday with a striking new hairstyle. The princess, who turns 75 on August 15, 2025, has traded her signature voluminous bouffant for an elegant twisted bun updo.

The portrait, taken by photographer Chris Jackson ahead of a state banquet last month, shows Anne standing beside her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence. The princess royal is wearing a diamond Festoon Tiara that sits atop her neatly styled hair, as well as an ivory gown with lace embellishments.

This subtle hair change has caught the attention of royal fans, as Anne has been known for her iconic bouffant hairstyle since the 1980s. In a 2020 documentary, the princess revealed that her signature look only takes her 10 to 15 minutes to achieve, much quicker than the hours it takes for TV portrayals of the style.

Despite the change, Anne's regal elegance shines through in the portrait. She completes the ensemble with a diamond necklace, earrings, and a bright blue sash with a brooch at the center. The portrait showcases the princess' timeless style as she celebrates this milestone birthday.
