Prince William and Kate Middleton employed secret identities during their early romantic relationship to maintain privacy.
Reports indicate the couple, then Prince of Wales and a university student, used aliases like 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' for hotel stays. Prince William also reportedly used the name 'Steve' upon his arrival at St Andrews University in 2001.
During a trip to the Seychelles following a brief breakup in 2007, they reportedly registered as 'Martin and Rose Middleton.' This visit is described as a period of renewing their relationship, preceding William's proposal in 2010.
Further aliases, 'Danny Collins' and 'Daphne Clark,' were allegedly used for security travel. These pseudonyms marked private moments before they entered public royal life.
