In Prayagraj, a historic women-only Holi celebration took place, offering hundreds of women a unique chance to revel freely. Held at the Loknath Gymnasium, the event provided a sanctuary for women from Loknath, Malviya Nagar, and surrounding areas to immerse themselves in colors and music. For three hours, the space was exclusively theirs, a deliberate effort by the Loknath Milan Sangh team to ensure women could fully experience the festival's joy.
The celebration saw women of all ages dancing to popular Bollywood tunes and engaging in playful color-throwing. The atmosphere was described as electric, with 'pichkaaris' and gulal creating a riot of colors. Participants expressed a desire for such women-centric events to become a regular occurrence, highlighting the positive impact.
Meanwhile, Thatheri Bazaar also buzzed with Holi fervor, drawing crowds of men, women, and children. This area's tradition, dating back to the Independence Movement, continued to unite people in a joyous, colorful spectacle, marking the third day of the festival with high spirits and vibrant revelry.
