Last Sunday, November 13th, 2025, the city of Coimbatore hosted a special Children's Day edition of its popular Happy Streets event on DB Road at RS Puram. The event, which is a joint initiative by the Times of India, the city corporation, and the local police, attracted a diverse crowd of over 5,000 people from Coimbatore and nearby towns.
One of the attendees was 13-year-old Yeshwanth from Pollachi, who had been eagerly waiting to participate in Happy Streets for a long time. Yeshwanth's mother, Poornima K, brought him to the event, where he experienced various activities for the first time, such as ball spinning, which fascinated him. Excited by the experience, Yeshwanth clicked numerous photos and shared them with his friends.
