Patna embraced the New Year 2026 with vibrant celebrations on Thursday, as residents flocked to religious sites, parks, and tourist attractions. Temples, including Mahavir Temple and Iskcon Temple, were festively decorated, drawing immense crowds seeking blessings and spiritual solace for the year ahead.
The Mahavir Temple experienced an extraordinary surge, with over 400,000 devotees visiting by nightfall, resulting in queues that stretched for 2 kilometers. Priests from Ayodhya were specially invited, and 18,000 kg of offerings were sold. Similarly, Iskcon Temple saw more than 450,000 devotees participating in spiritual activities and receiving 'mahaprasad'.
