22 Jul
Summary
- A naturist group's monthly naked swimming session was cancelled.
- The group has swum at Mounts Baths for over four decades.
- Staffing issues were cited as the reason for the cancellation.

The Sun Group, a naturist organization based in Northampton, has voiced deep distress over the abrupt cancellation of their monthly naked swimming events. These sessions have been a consistent fixture at Mounts Baths, held on the second Sunday of each month, since 1982.
Recently, Everyone Active, which assumed management of the West Northamptonshire Council facility in April, communicated that the popular naked swimming gatherings could no longer proceed. The organization stated it was unable to secure the required staffing agreements to continue the sessions.
Maggie Moreton, representing the Sun Group, conveyed the organization's profound disappointment. She stated, "We feel there is no respect for our group," highlighting the emotional impact of losing a tradition that has spanned over four decades and is deeply valued by its members.
