A powerful collection of poetry, 'Words on a NE Street,' has significantly contributed to local charities, raising over £4,200.
Compiled by Andrew Mears, this anthology showcases the work of 100 writers from north-east England. Since its release in July, more than 500 copies have been purchased, with all proceeds directed to vital charitable causes.
The raised funds will directly support Newcastle Helping Street Friends, Emmaus North East, and Heart (NE) C.I.C. These organizations provide essential services, including supported accommodation, for individuals who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion in an area with high rates of regional homelessness.
