Actor Nidhi Subbaiah's Underwater Dream

Actor Nidhi Subbaiah recently completed her open water scuba certification during a solo trip to Havelock Island. The immersive course included theoretical lessons, pool training, and several open-water dives, reaching depths of nearly 18 meters.

Subbaiah described the underwater experience as completely different from any watersports she had done before, likening it to entering another world with its vibrant reefs and marine life. A remarkable moment occurred within the first four minutes of her initial dive when she spotted a seahorse, a sighting her instructor had never witnessed in years of diving.

This adventure also marked Subbaiah's first solo journey, undertaken as a personal challenge for her birthday. Beyond earning her certification, the experience offered her a profound sense of perspective, emphasizing the world's vastness and beauty, especially in the silence of the deep. She described surfacing from her deepest dive as feeling surreal, like waking from a dream, and admitted that diving's addictive nature has her already planning her next excursion.
