A new youth club, Swanspool Hub, has officially opened in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, offering young people a dedicated space for social interaction and skill development.
Funded by the National Lottery for two years, the hub is located at Swanspool Pavilion and will welcome individuals aged 14 to 18 every Friday from 16:00 to 18:00 BST. The initiative is a collaboration between Wellingborough Town Council and the local mental health charity Service Six.
Council leader Paul Bell expressed delight, stating the hub is designed to be a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment. The project addresses a recognized need for accessible youth provision in the area, promising positive activities and personal growth opportunities.
The opening of Swanspool Hub follows the town council's successful acquisition of Swanspool Pavilion, a site dating back to 1919. This ownership was secured in May 2025, following significant government funding.
