Mollie King's Wedding Wait: A Father's Memory

Mollie King, the singer and radio presenter, has shared a deeply personal reason for not yet marrying fiancé Stuart Broad. The primary obstacle is the enduring grief from the loss of her father, Stephen, who passed away from a brain tumor in November 2022. This tragic event occurred just 10 days after King gave birth to their first child, Annabella.

King, who is also mother to Liliana, born in January 2025, expressed that her father's passing was sudden and unexpected. She cherishes the fact that her father met his granddaughter and saw her in this new phase of life. The inability to imagine her wedding day without her father's presence, particularly walking down the aisle without him, makes it difficult to proceed with marriage plans currently.

Despite these emotional challenges, King stated that marriage is high on her priority list and that she and Stuart Broad want to marry soon. She acknowledged that wedding preparations can take time. King previously undertook a 500k cycle from London to Hull in her father's memory to raise funds for Comic Relief, showcasing her enduring connection to his legacy.
