The recent collection showcased sports bras, stretchy shorts, and sweatpants, even featuring a collaboration with New Balance sneakers and upcycled Wrangler jeans. Prada stated her intention was to bring elegance to sport and vice versa, reflecting current dressing habits.

The collection saw sports bras styled in various ways, from under hacking jackets with plaid skirts to bejeweled evening wear. Workout shorts were worn like boxers, and sweatpants substituted for blazers. This move acknowledges the ongoing fusion of sports and fashion, a trend Miu Miu is now contributing to.

The prevalence of sports bras as a major trend this season, accompanied by exposed midriffs, is notable. This resurgence is also seen across other brands like Fendi and Haider Ackermann at Tom Ford, with variations appearing at Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino, Hermès, and Loewe.

Prada's earlier introduction of the cropped top and ultra-low-waist miniskirt at Miu Miu approximately four years ago is cited as a catalyst for this trend. Combined with the rise of 'naked dressing,' '90s and Y2K nostalgia, and body-conscious urges, it has contributed to the widespread adoption of bra-like tops.

This phenomenon, dubbed 'brazilla' or 'bralapalooza,' can be seen as a modern interpretation of the feminist call for bra burning. The trend has been amplified by celebrity endorsements and red carpet appearances, highlighting its significant cultural impact.
