The Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board in Panchkula is actively preparing for the upcoming Ashwin Navratras, set to be celebrated from October 11 to October 20. These preparations involve significant infrastructure development and administrative arrangements to welcome the anticipated large number of pilgrims.
A key focus is the Rs 2.8 crore project dedicated to the complete recarpeting of roads and parking areas within the shrine complex. This project, expected to be completed within four months, also includes a three-year maintenance contract to ensure sustained quality.
To enhance security and manage the expected thousands of devotees, additional CCTV cameras will be installed, and police security has been requested for the 10-day celebration period. The chief administrator's office is also seeking proposals for operational partnerships and commercial licenses to manage services like LED wall installations for live telecasts and cultural programs.
A broader Rs 6.5 crore modernization plan is also in progress. This initiative includes constructing a new entry hall and main gate, along with significant improvements to the temple approach road and Shakti Chowk. New visitor amenities, such as a water ATM, updated staircases, a corridor, an upasana sthal, and a dome structure, are part of this comprehensive upgrade.
