Martha Stewart's Toe: A Brunson Fracture Tale

Martha Stewart, the iconic lifestyle guru, shared a remarkable courtside tale involving New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson. During a playoff game at Madison Square Garden last May, Stewart suffered a broken toe when Brunson inadvertently stepped on her foot. The injury happened in the closing minutes of a game that eventually went into overtime, prolonging Stewart's discomfort.

Stewart recounted the incident on "The Tonight Show," humorously referring to her injury as 'The Brunson fracture.' She later appeared on Brunson and Josh Hart's "Roommates Show," where the players discussed the mishap. Brunson apologized, and Stewart even received a signed basketball for her grandson. She stated that the injury was not Brunson's fault, attributing it to her choice of open-toed shoes.

Stewart consulted Dr. Rock Positano at the Hospital for Special Surgery, where the injury was officially named 'The Stewart-Brunson Fracture.' She presented Brunson with an X-ray of her foot. Although initially painful, Stewart has since recovered and now views the incident with a sense of humor, calling it 'silly, stupid, and funny.' Brunson expressed remorse for the accidental injury.
