The highly anticipated Downtown Marion Lighted Truck Parade is scheduled for November 29, heralding the commencement of the holiday season with a spectacular display. Downtown Marion Inc. is organizing the event, which will showcase over 80 uniquely decorated vehicles, including a diverse array of trucks, cars, construction equipment, and even bicycles.
The parade will commence at 6 p.m. at Center and Baker streets, following a westward path on Center Street, a turn south onto Prospect Street, and an eastward journey on Church Street, culminating at Founders Park. Immediately following the parade, the annual holiday tree lighting will occur at Founders Park, with the tree adorned by Dayspring Wesleyan Church.
The Marion Palace Chorus will serenade attendees with Christmas carols during the tree lighting. Free hot chocolate will be available, courtesy of Center Street Community Market and The Salvation Army Marion, ensuring a warm welcome for all community members. Organizers extend an invitation to everyone to partake in this cherished annual tradition.
