Millions are drawn to Manchester's Christmas Markets, a tradition spanning 27 years, despite growing concerns over inflated prices. Despite the expense, with some families spending £100 in just an hour, many visitors like civil servant Rebecca Stacey find the markets a "great day out." They acknowledge the prices are high but consider it a worthwhile festive tradition akin to attending a festival, with some noting that the reality is often less expensive than social media suggests.

Stall owners, like Isabelle Ecolivet who has had a stall for 14 years, note the markets remain a vibrant, busy hub. While acknowledging a potential slight dip in visitor numbers compared to the previous year, possibly due to weather, they rely on a loyal customer base that consistently returns for the unique experience the markets offer.
