Kolhan Devotion: Maha Shivratri Ignites Temples

On Sunday, the Kolhan division was alive with religious devotion as Maha Shivratri was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety.
Faithful followers visited Shiva temples from early morning to offer special prayers and seek blessings. Special rituals like 'rudrabhishekam' were performed according to Vedic scriptures, accompanied by the resonant chanting of 'Om Namah Shivay' and 'Har Har Mahadev.'
The Mahadevsal temple in Chakradharpur, referred to as the state's 'Chota Baidyanath dham,' drew a substantial number of devotees, including many from neighboring Odisha. Similarly, the Jayda Shiv temple in Chandil and various prominent temples in East Singhbhum, such as Chitreswardham and Dalma Shiv temple, experienced large gatherings.
