Last week, a tribute paying ceremony was organized at the historical Safed Baradari in Lucknow to honor the memory of former Gonda MP Raja Anand Singh. Members of the British India Association (BIA) and other attendees gathered to remember Singh's life and contributions.
During the event, the attendees offered tributes, followed by a 'bhajan' and a visual presentation showcasing Raja Anand Singh's public service, educational initiatives, and philanthropic work. BIA's Vice-president, Rakesh Pratap Singh, praised Singh's "unwavering honesty and grace" in his commitment to both politics and the BIA. The joint secretary of BIA, Tariq Hasan Naqvi, highlighted Singh's leadership skills and humble nature, describing his "simplicity as exemplary."
The Principal of Colvin Taluqdars College, Sachidanand Singh, also shed light on Singh's progressive mindset, noting his keen interest in introducing Artificial Intelligence. Prominent figures like MP Sanjay Seth and chairman of Vidhan Parishad Manvendra Singh were also present at the tribute ceremony.
