This market has become a high-energy hub for discerning customers seeking superior animals.
The most sought-after breeds include the giant African Boer, the heavily built Beetal, and the distinctively styled Barbari goats. Traders report substantial deals, with some Barbari goats fetching prices up to ₹11 lakh. The Beetal breed, known for its height and milk production, is also a major draw, with top specimens selling for nearly ₹5 lakh.
African Boer goats, prized for their size and meat quality, are attracting considerable attention. These goats stand nearly five feet tall and can weigh up to 250 kg, with prices starting at ₹4 lakh. The Barbari, from the Agra-Mathura belt, remains popular for its unique appearance. Other breeds like Jamunapari, Hansa, Sirohi, Gujri, and Ajmeri are also available.
As Eid-ul-Azha approaches, traders anticipate further price increases, with demand peaking in the final 24 hours before the festival. The market is experiencing a significant rise in footfall, particularly from buyers seeking specific, high-quality breeds, indicating a growing trend in the livestock market.
