On October 11, 2025, Lucknow celebrated the conclusion of the International Girl Child Week with a 'Shakti Samvad - A Platform for the Voices of Girls and Women'. The event, organized as part of the ongoing Mission Shakti 5.0, saw the department of women and child development bring together over 2,000 beneficiaries to understand how collaboration between the government and society can bring positive changes in the lives of women and girls.
District magistrates, senior administrative officers, and departmental representatives personally interacted with beneficiaries of schemes such as the CM Kanya Sumangala Yojana, the Child Service Scheme, and the Widow Pension Scheme. The Shakti Samvad was not just a platform to review these schemes, but also a way to honor the voices of girls and women striving for self-reliance.
Between September 22 and October 11, the fifth phase of Mission Shakti involved the participation of over 14.70 lakh people, promoting women's safety, respect, and self-reliance through dialogue series, workshops, and awareness programmes. The event in Lucknow was a culmination of these efforts, showcasing the government's commitment to empowering women and girls in the region.
