Wayne Lineker, 63, has reconciled with his brother, former England striker Gary Lineker, ending a 17-year feud. The estrangement concluded shortly before Wayne gave up drinking and entered rehab.
The brothers' reunion took place in Ibiza at Gary's son Harry's wedding. Wayne described the event as a beautiful occasion where he and Gary spoke properly for the first time in 15 years, noting it felt as though they had never fallen out.
This rift reportedly began when Wayne was absent from Gary's 2009 wedding to Danielle Bux in Italy, as he refused to attend after being told he could not bring his then-girlfriend. Wayne is now seven months sober after attending rehab and has also been recovering from pneumonia, which required a seven-week hospital stay.
Wayne Lineker, who owns the popular O Beach club in Ibiza, emphasized that he was never jealous of his brother's successful football career. He expressed pride in being Gary's brother and stated his enjoyment of his current sober lifestyle.
