King Charles III is scheduled to make his second visit to Lancashire since his coronation, with an upcoming trip to Clitheroe in the Ribble Valley on Monday. During this visit, the King, who also holds the title Duke of Lancaster, is expected to interact with local farmers, manufacturers, and members of the public.
This visit comes shortly after his June tour of Lancashire. During that recent trip, he visited Lancaster, participating in an ancient ceremony where he was presented with the keys to the castle. He also made stops in Morecambe and Burnley on previous occasions.
In 2017, as the Prince of Wales, King Charles visited Clitheroe, where he met local traders and well-wishers at the town's food festival. His past visits to Burnley in 2011 also highlighted his interest in the impact of his charities on the area's regeneration projects.
