Bachelorette's Katie Thurston Undergoes Cosmetic Surgery Amid Cancer Battle

Bachelorette alumna Katie Thurston has shared that she recently underwent chin liposuction, a procedure she opted for as a personal choice following multiple required medical surgeries. Thurston disclosed this on Instagram Stories, emphasizing transparency about cosmetic procedures. She stated she has never had Botox or fillers, but decided on chin lipo amid her ongoing health challenges.

Thurston announced her stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis a few months prior to her wedding to comedian Jeff Arcuri on March 22, 2025. The couple moved their wedding date forward due to the commencement of her cancer treatment. Her condition has since progressed to stage 4. In April of this year, she underwent a double mastectomy.

Further complicating her health journey, Thurston had a liver biopsy in July 2026 because doctors were puzzled by her elevated enzyme levels. In a recent interview, Arcuri confirmed that he and Thurston have taken the next step in their IVF journey, successfully creating two embryos. However, the couple is delaying further steps due to significant delays in their home renovation project.

Thurston has previously expressed complex emotions about not being able to carry a child due to her cancer diagnosis. She shared on Kaitlyn Bristowe's podcast that her husband, Arcuri, has been a source of support, reminding her that they can still experience milestones like baby showers and the joy of discovering news about a child.
