Sources suggest that marital issues began to resolve only after the 48-year-old rapper entered a rehabilitation facility in Switzerland.

West recently disclosed his treatment for bipolar disorder and depression, which he detailed in an advertisement published by The Wall Street Journal. He explained that a medication change during a manic episode led to a severe depressive state, prompting his wife to encourage him to seek professional help.

The rapper acknowledged the destructive impact of his past statements and actions, attributing them to his mental health struggles. He expressed deep remorse for tarnishing relationships with family and friends, emphasizing his desire to stand for love and positivity.

West also shared that a brain injury sustained in a 2002 car accident, which was not properly diagnosed until 2023, contributed to his mental health challenges. He stated that ignoring the problem exacerbated his condition, leading to a bipolar type-1 diagnosis.
