KC Streetcar: Free, Futuristic, and Fun!

Kansas City's free streetcar, a modern transit system reminiscent of European trams, is set to nearly double in length. This initiative highlights the city's progressive development, contrasting with its historic frontier and Prohibition-era reputation.

Founded in the 1830s and later influenced by mob boss Tom Pendergast, Kansas City evolved from a trading post to a sprawling metropolis. Today, its skyline blends Art Deco skyscrapers with modern structures, anchored by landmarks like the repurposed Union Station.
