A teenage girl's deep admiration for the K-pop group BTS prompted her to leave her home in south Bengaluru on September 26, 2026. The 13-year-old student, engrossed in Korean culture, harbored a strong desire to visit South Korea and meet her idols.
Her solo adventure began around 10 AM, but her journey concluded late at night at the Attiguppe Metro station. Alert metro staff noticed the unaccompanied child and contacted the police, who then informed her family. The girl had reportedly left after arguments at home about her expressed wish to travel to South Korea.
Authorities reunited the girl with her parents after providing counseling. The family, originally from Maharashtra, has been living in Bengaluru for work. Given the girl had left home previously, police advised her parents to seek professional counseling for her.
